Chad, Cooper and Grandma Dawn got to enjoy a day and night at a beach house in Pajaro Dunes with both Nill families. Chad was able to take a day off work - it was my last day of work and I had to attend the 8th grade graduation so I was not able to go. Cooper seemed to love the beach and the sand. I told Chad to make sure and take a lot of pictures since it was Coopers first trip to the beach and I couldn't be there - thank goodness Chad got some great shots! I can't wait to go back to the beach as a family this summer!

Uncle Troy Visits...
Chad's brother is attending UC San Diego, so we do not get to see him very often. We were so happy he was able to fly home for Cooper's birthday so he could spend some time with all of us. I thought he deserved a special post because I love this picture of Chad and Troy...showing their brotherly love...
Thanks for my Padres sweatshirt Uncle Troy...it fits perfect and it kept me warm on my way to school...

Coopers 1st Birthday Party
We had a wonderful 1st birthday party at a neighborhood park for Cooper. We are so grateful to have so many people that care about our family and were there to join us in celebrating Cooper's 1st year! Thank you!!!
We've MOVED!!!!
We are so excited to have moved. We absolutely loved our townhouse that we lived in for 2 years but we were quickly growing out of it with all of Cooper's toys and were ready to have a bit more space. We had to find somewhere to live quick because our lease was up in 30 days...this happened to be at the same time I was leaving for Tahoe...luckily I have an amazing husband and he did some craigslist searching and found 4 homes to look at while I was gone. He called me after the update and told me he liked 1 of the 4 and as soon as I got back to San Jose we went to look. The house was perfect - 3 bed, 2 bath, living room and family room (a rare find in San Jose) and a nice backyard for Cooper to run around in. It even has a basketball hoop - perfect for Chad... Two days later we found out the house was ours! Chad spent a week painting a couple rooms - I wanted Coopers room blue, our room a greenish color and the living room a special color too...I guess I was a little picky... We spent Memorial Day Weekend moving and are so happy with our decision. We are enjoying all of the extra space and Cooper is loving his very own playroom.
Weekend Getaway...
It had been so long since I had taken any time just for me... At the end of April, Liz and I were talking and she brought up taking a trip to Lake Tahoe and at that moment nothing sounded better than taking a little time for myself and enjoying a weekend with Liz - a great friend from High School. I came home and asked Chad if he would mind and thankfully I have an understanding husband and he was happy that I was going to hang out with a friend and do something for myself. Chad was going to spend the weekend with Cooper until I offered that my parents would love to watch him so Chad could have a weekend with friends, too. So thats what we did...the first weekend of May, my parents were kind enough to watch our little buddy for 2 whole nights while I spent the weekend with Liz in Tahoe and Chad relaxed and hung out with some friends in San Jose. It was a much needed weekend and it reminded me that I need to take time for myself once in awhile. Of course, it was great to get back to my husband and little boy, too. Thanks Liz, for a weekend of unforgetable fun...we definitely will do it again sometime! Montbleu it is...
Happy 1st Birthday Cooper Boy!
We can't believe it, our little Cooper boy is already a year old. On May 27th Cooper had his 1st birthday. Sadly, he was a sick little boy so he was unable to go to school...I kinda think he did it on purpose so his Mommy could spend his entire 1st birthday with him...he's quite a smart little boy. Mommy and Cooper spent the day together - played with toys, ate lunch and bought a very special cupcake...then waited for Daddy to get home so Cooper could gobble it all up. Even though he had quite the fever he still enjoyed eating his cupcake on his special day. We can't believe how fast the year went and how much we enjoy Cooper. He is the sweetest baby - loves giving "kissies", loves to laugh whenever anyone else laughs, he is so friendly to everyone he meets and always has a smile on his face. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful little baby that joined our family a year ago!
What a yummy treat...Mommy reading Cooper his 1st Birthday Card
Trying to figure out if he should crawl through his new tunnel...
Such a sad boy sitting in his new chair...
Quickly, he turned that frown upside down...enjoying his personalized chair!
