Indoor Smores

Tonight, Cooper and I went to Chad's last basketball game. It was an away game and we didn't cheer at any away games this season but I wanted to go anway because if Chad's team won that means they would have gone undefeated, 14-0 for the season, and they WON! Yay, for Chad and the PHS JV Basketball team. Tonights game was a crazy one, too...so close but they pulled it off. So in order to celebrate the great victory we came home and made indoor smores. We used graham crackers, melted marshmellows and Nutella (the most delicious stuff EVER). Cooper made a complete mess but enjoyed his treat and even some of mine.
I love this picture - I'm smiling for the camera and Coop is smiling, staring right at me. Makes me realize how much my little boy loves his Mommy.

I'm posing again and Cooper is saying "mmmmmmmmm"

"All done" so I'll pull Mommy's arm and take a bite of her treat!

Getting all clean in the bath. Being silly and putting his bath balls underneath his arms.

One of Cooper's favorite books to read before bed.

How can he be growing up this fast!?!?!?

A Family Valentines Day

We began our "Family Valentines" by going to the San Jose Children's Museum. We have been wanting to go there for quite some time and thought this would be the perfect day. It was pretty crowded - and all of the kids were wearing red, so it was quite tough keeping a close eye on Cooper...though, it did not bother him at all - he was EVERYWHERE and would move so quick! It was awesome to see him having so much fun with all the different activities to do there. His favorite spots were of course with the balls - getting to throw them and watch them spin down the funnel, painting and the water area. We will definitely be going back to play some more.

Picking out some veggies

Looking for Daddy to help him cross the bridge

Our little China Man

Raking the leaves...Cooper loves raking, sweeping and shoveling - so this was perfect! Except when he thought it was okay to use the rake to hit the other kids around him...such a fiesty little boy sometimes!

The ball funnel - this is where Cooper spent TONS of time.

More fun with balls

Chinese dinner party with Mommy

Cooper is the new Picaso

Wouldn't this be fun to have at home...

Ready to play...hoping this will keep him dry! (no luck there)

Loving the water

Getting all wet

Here is a cute video of Cooper playing with the balls and the water. He's showing off his left overhand throw...could he end up being a left-handed pitcher??? hmmm...

All changed in dry clothes and walking to the car.

He's so freakin cute sometimes (well all the time) hehe! I can't believe how big he is getting.

After the museum we went out to sushi for lunch. Then it was nap time for Coop and Chad and I watched a couple of our TiVo'd shows...then it was time to go to the Santa Clara Convention Center to see some old dance friends. My old dance studio (where I danced for thirteen years) had a competition here so we were able to watch their performances and see some friends. Cooper LOVED it because he had tons of attention from a group of girls. He could not stop smiling and laughing...such a little flirt already.

A nice, relaxing and family filled Valentines Day! Nothing better than that!

Green Olives

So, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE GREEN OLIVES...I have for as long as I can remember. That is why we even have them in our house. Chad is not a fan of any kind of olives - as a matter of fact he'll even tell you he is allergic to them, although, that's doubtful! So a few weeks ago, the fridge was open and Cooper grabbed the can of green olives and wanted one. I thought, ya right, I'll let him try them but there is no way he will like these (he is pretty picky and they have quite a distinct taste)! Little did I know, this was going to be the beginning of a new favorite food. My baby boy LOVES GREEN OLIVES! (And I'm pretty happy about it!)

Since that day, anytime the fridge is open, he grabs the olives out - says "obive" and we sit at the table and eat them one by one out of the bottle together. Cooper's turn, Mommy's turn! Coop makes some funny faces while eating them, but keeps asking for "more, more". I love my little green olive eater! We actually finished them yesterday so I need to remember to put that on my grocery list for tomorrow! Yummy!

Loving Another Day With Friends!

On Martin Luther King Day, I was able to pretend to be a Stay-at-home-Mommy, and spend the whole day with Cooper. We had a wonderful day! We met up with my Molly and her 2 adorable girls, Jessica and Jordan, and we got to meet her 4 month old baby boy, Max, for the first time! They are one special family!

We met and the cutest park in Gilroy (halfway between San Jose and Salinas). We decided that we should find houses there and raise our families in the same neighborhood...gosh wouldn't that be a dream come true! The kids had a great time running around the park, playing with each other and making new friends. Molly and I were able to catch up and laugh a lot, like always. I loved meeting baby Max and thought it was fun to see how Cooper acted with a little baby...he will be a great big brother - SOMEDAY... :)

Can't wait for our next playdate...if we are not neighbors in Gilroy before then!!! hehe!

Here's a cute picture of all of us except for Max, he was taking a nap on the blanket. (I told Cooper to smile for Mommy and I should have said the "smile for the camera" because he followed directions and is looking straight at me with his big cheesy smile!)

The 3 cute kids...you can tell they were playing hard - Cooper's face is so so red!

Huggies for Jessica...such good buddies!

Baseball...again! Last time they played together they loved playing baseball.

Chasing the little doggie around! Cooper loves doggies but I think Jordan loves them even more...she was so cute and so in love with the dog!

Towards the end of the day, these 3 girls around 8 years old came to the park and Cooper was "in love". He was chasing them and making them laugh. Grabbing their hands and bringing them here and there. I could not believe what a little flirt he was...We're gonna be in trouble if this continues into his teen years!
