Random Funniness

I just thought this picture was way too cute in black and white...holding the soccer goal and playing with a car on the brick wall.
Cooper is just so precious.

So today, when I got home after being away at Kimmy's bachelorette festivities for about 28 hours - I just could not wait to see Cooper. He was still taking his nap when I got home so I first went and put some comfy clothes on and then went into Cooper's room to see if he was awake (he had been sleeping for 3 hours). He was not ready to wake up - he is not a fan of being woken up - he will say "no Mama" and turn his head away and close his eyes to go back to sleep. So that's what he did today. I had not seen him in 28 hours and all he wanted was to continue sleeping. I was not okay with that - I wanted to hug him, hold him, squeeze my little buddy oh so tightly. So without thinking I climbed into his crib and cuddled with him. I mean, why not, it was a win-win situation - Cooper got to stay "sleeping" and I got to cuddle with my little buddy!  About 5 minutes later Chad came looking for me and this is what he saw...he thought it was quite funny! Good Morning!
For awhile now Cooper has been intersted in going pee in the potty. It is usually after his bath and before we put his jammies on. This probably is not the safest way to do it - but we have not bought a child's toilet yet (we will when we get serious about potty training in July) but for now it's just for fun. Chad is usually holding him while he pee's but tonight Cooper's grip was so good as he pee'd away so Chad let go. Cooper was so proud. He is getting to be such a big boy!
Concentrating hard...with his buddah belly!
I needed a "happy-face" and I sure got one! What a little angel this boy is!
These will be great pictures to show him later in life! Silly silly boy!

Friend Danny's 2nd Birthday

On Saturday, Chad took Cooper to his friend Danny, who is from school, 2nd birthday party. There are like 4 boys in Cooper's class that are all within a couple months agewise of eachother - and as the get older it's so much fun to watch them interact. Since I missed the party I love being able to imagine through these pictures how much Cooper enjoyed seeing "Dan Dan" outside of school. Is this really true? Cooper is old enough to have "real friends"? Time is flying by!
High Fives! for "Coopieeeee" and "Dan Dan"

Cooper got to run around, play baseball, basketball and soccer, ride bikes and even hit the pinata and get some candy. Chad said Cooper obviously had a great time.

Playing baseball - of course Cooper MUST have a ball in both hands at all times.

Playing nicely together on Danny's tricycle.
"Mmmmm" a cupcake!

"Bigggg Bite"

Happy Birthday Danny! Thank's for inviting me to your birthday party!

Kimmy's Bachelorette Weekend

Our friends, Kimmy and Julian, are getting married in July and this weekend was Kimmy's bachelorette bash.  I was a little nervous to get out into the "world of going out" since I pretty much never do - but I ended up having such a great time!  Prior to the festivities I only knew Kimmy and her roommate Erin - but everyone was SO much fun and I feel lucky to have met such a great group of girls.

On Friday evening, Kimmy had people over at her house - guys and girls - so Chad and I went together.  We have not gone anywhere together without Cooper since probably like the Summer (wow, I didn't realize it had been that long - we need to work on that!).  We put Coop to bed before we left - and about 9:00pm we headed to Kimmy's.  It was fun to just hang out, see some friends, meet new people, listen to music and just be together out and about for awhile.  Of course, we called it a night at 11:30pm because I knew I had a busy 2 days ahead.
Just the two of us...
On Saturday we had a fun-filled day which began at 11am.  All 11 of us girls drove up to San Francisco - checked into our really cool hotel and then went to the Giants game.  I grew up a Giants fan but had not been to any games since high school - that stadium is so awesome!  I was not too good at taking pictures all day but here is one of the park.  I was a little worried about the weather - but the rain stayed away - which helped my hair stay straight! hehe!
After the game we went back to the hotel and got ready for the evening.  Everyone looked so HOT in their dresses.  (Again, I wish I had a group shot, but I wasn't good with pics.)  Then we played a few games - well more like Kimmy did.  She had to answer some questions about Julian, guess who got her what lingerie between us girls and others...there was lots of laughter going on.
Kimmy with her leapord lingerie...sexy!
Then we went to dinner at a great Italian Restaurant - don't know the name.  From dinner we went to a club called The Cellar.  We had a table reserved and danced the night away to some great music!  It was great to have a night out with the girls.

Kimmy, Me and Erin
Erin and Kimmy dancing on the stage area - you go girls!
We were pretty dang special!
On Sunday, Kimmy had her bridal shower.  Many of her friends live out of state and even one out of the country - so it was necessary to have everything in one weekend so everyone could attend.  The shower was beautiful and she got lots of great gifts.  Such a fun girlie weekend!  I can't wait for the two of them to be married and then to have a little baby or two or three...Congrat's you two!  And thanks for including me on such a fun weeknd!

My Adventurous Man!

A couple weekends ago Chad and 4 of his friends went on a 3-day Hike! Crazy, if you ask me, but they had a great time.
The hiked from Castle Rock in Saratoga all the way to Santa Cruz - that is like 35 miles!
This was Chad's 2nd time doing this hike - he hoped it would have been a bit easier the 2nd time - but turned out it was just as tiring.
It was so fun to see Chad get so excited about this hike.
For like a month before he would search the internet all the time for info on the "Skyline to the Sea" hike.
He was fully packed and ready to go at least 24 hours before they even left - and if you know my husband, that is insane!
Anytime we leave to go anywhere and packing is involved, he does not even start packing until like 30 minutes before it's time to leave.
He obviously was extra excited to hike for 35 miles! Is that even normal?

Here they are - Neal, Chad, Ryan, Richard and Steve - with all their gear ready to begin this "strenuous hike"

My little outdoorsman!

The beautiful view as they were reaching their final destination.

If I can ever get Chad to jump into the world of blogging maybe he can write a little bit more information about what they did each day and how hard it really was...until then, I thought I'd give you a little update on Chad's exciting 3 days! It is a pretty big accomplishment.
