1st day of REAL preschool

Cooper has been attending Campbell Christian School since he has been 3 months old. He started off in the Infant Classroom with Miss Maggie and Miss Mia. I then had him home for the summer. In August 2008, he began the Toddler classroom with Ms. Olivia and Ms. Stephanie. And now, August 2009 - Cooper is on the other side of the school in the Preschool classroom! The two-year olds! Chad and I no longer will pack his lunch and snacks - it is part of the preschool program. He will go to chapel once a week, do more projects, learn music, his letters and numbers - like a real school! Boy oh boy - I still can't believe how big he is getting so so fast!

Here is our handsome Cooper boy on his first day of Preschool! And of course he is wearing his big boy underwear! Such a proud mommy and daddy we are!

Potty Trained

Cooper is Potty Trained! Well, I consider him to be potty trained! He still sleeps with a pull up during naps and night time but he goes pee and poop in the toilet all throughout the day and he tells us when he has to go! Everyone always told me how hard it would be to potty train a boy - but I think being consistent was the #1 key to potty training Cooper and having it be so successful! He will be starting back to preschool in a week and he will be potty trained! My little boy is growing up so fast!

One of his favorite spots to poop is right here...bringing the potty to the kitchen (yes, we let him poop in the kitchen in his potty) and playing his leap frog music toy! Whatever works little boy!

We are so proud of you Cooper!

Morgan Hill Aquatics Center

Oh my goodness! Why did I not know about this place until the last day I had off with Cooper?! We got to have another fun day with Molly, Jessica, Jordan and Max - this time at the Morgan Hill Aquatics Center! So much fun. So many cool water things for kids and of course a big swimming pool too. Cooper had tons of fun. Another great summer activity!

Trip to Arizona

We love Arizona! Well, I had only been there 2 times before this trip but both times I seriously just LOVE IT! I love the state of Arizona - just driving down the streets - it's so different than California. But what I think I really like is seeing Mamaw and Pawpaw and spending time with them! We just always have so much fun! So all summer Chad and I discussed going to Arizona - looking at flights here and there - knowing we wanted to go but not making any set plans. Until one Monday we decided let's just do it - let's drive to Arizona. We will leave on Wednesday...yes only 2 days from when we decided...we could only stay for a few shorts days because I had to begin back to work the next week but we knew it would be worth it! On Wednesday afternoon after Chad got home from work we loaded the "big truck" (as Cooper calls it) and got on the road. We were unsure if we would drive all the way through - thought we would see how tired we were and how Coop was in the car. After 10 hours of driving - with only 2 left - we decided we needed to stop. Coop was restless (as a whole he was a gem the entire drive - thank goodness for movies in the car!) but he was so tired that by 1am he wanted his bed - not his carseat! We stopped in Blythe - slept like 7 hours and drove the remainded of the 2 hours to arrive in Arizona about 10am on Thursday morning! We made it! It was wonderful! Brooke happened to be visiting Mamaw and Pawpaw at the same time so we got to spend some time with her too!
Chad and Cooper got some swim time in! Cooper had learned to swim to the wall on his own and gotten more comfortable in the water by then.

Big boy swimming all by himself!

Underwater with Daddy!

Being super silly with Brookie and Gracie Doggie...Cooper kept saying "NIIIICE Gracie Doggie!"

Auntie Brookie reading to Coop

Pawpaw and Chad - probably making fun of each other

One of the days we got to go to Phoenix, where Steve and Marni and the kids live...They were having a birthday party for Alyssa who turned 16! Cooper was obsessed with this slot machine that they had in their house! I mean obsessed! He played it for at least an hour and kept saying "moneys" "moneys" "moneys" It was pretty funny!

Pawpaw, Daddy and Coop

Riding the horsie with Uncle Stevie

Playing drums!

Loving Luna! or should I say "Yuna"

Breakfast the morning we were heading back to California.

Alysa, Cooper, Brookie and Mawmaw!

Cooper loves his Mawmaw!

Thanks for letting us come visit you on such short notice! It was wonderful as usual! We made it back to California in 11 hours - we didn't stop and stay the night...long trip but SO SO WORTH IT!

Playdate with Jada

We had a couple playdates with Amanda (a good friend from work) and Jada (her daughter) this summer! Cooper had so much fun on both! He loves playing with friends, and when they are older he becomes quite the little follower. Jada is SO GOOD with him, too! It was tons of fun to see them play so good together - even being 2 years apart!

Getting wet at the water park

Pouring water on Jada's feet

Snack time! Hungry much, Coop?

Just another lovely summer day!
