San Jose Earthquakes

Cooper's Bug Ball Soccer Class was invited to "perform" during the halftime of the San Jose Earthquakes - the professional soccer team here. I had never been to a professional soccer game before and of course it was wonderful seeing my special little guy out on the field during halftime! He had the time of his life...

Some days in Stockton at Papa and Grammies!

We spent a lovely few days in Stockton at my parents house at the end of July. One of the days with went to the Schuetz's house for Melissa's 30th birthday celebration! Cooper had a blast! He loved playing in the water, hanging out with Sarah, flirting with Rachel and just hanging out with everybody.
Big boy in the water with his water wings on the turtle raft!
Mike, Dick and Matt Soria sliding down the slide! This slide was quite the big hit!

Silly boy loving his big red lips

Back at Papa and Grammie's house...just hanging with Papa in the backyard. Probably one of Cooper's favorite things to do!

Liz came over for a visit!

We got the chance to go to one of my dad's softball games while we were there. He plays in a league with people from my moms work. Cooper thought it was pretty cool to see Papa on the baseball field!

Cooper is ready to play himself!

In the stands eating a treat that Grammie brought him...she loves bringing treats for the little buddy! AND he loves eating them up!

Good times in Stocktonia!

Swim Lessons

Again, having the time off this summer to spend with Cooper has just been AMAZING! One of the things we signed up for was Swim Lessons through the Los Gatos Parks and Rec. It was everyday for 2 weeks. We did the parent/child class - which worked out well. I did the class about 5 times with Cooper, Chad did 4 days and my dad came to spend a day with Cooper and I and did swim lessons with him that day! What a special treat since Cooper loves going swimming with Papa at Papa and Grammies house!
Cooper started the first couple days a bit timid of the water but by the 3rd day he was all about it! He learned to kick, put his face under, jump in (with someone catching him of course) and even got to jump off the diving board. Defininately something we will do again!

Kick, Kick and more Kicks!!!

Final day of Swim Class - life jacket on - getting ready to jump off the diving board!

Toes on the end, looking down at Daddy...uh oh!

Big boy Cooper!

Happy little fishies!

All done, wrapped in his sharkie towel

Congratulations Cuttle Fish Cooper!

Gilroy Gardens

We got to spend a lovely summer day at Gilroy Gardens with Molly and her three beauties! It's been so much fun this summer staying home with Cooper and getting to do all sorts of different things each day - one of my very favorites - getting together with Molly a couple times!
Molly and her family have a season pass to Gilroy Gardens - I had never even heard of it - but boy, it is the BEST place ever for young kids! They have tons of different rides and they are all for toddlers...which means Cooper got to ride them all! He had such a blast! He loved hanging out with Jessica, Jordan and Max and thought it was so much fun being able to ride all the rides all by himself! He's getting to be such an independent little fella!
The fire engine!

Cute Jordan and Jessica on their fire engine!

Coop on his Nemo fish...I think I was more scared than him - letting my little 2 year old ride alone and me standing behind the gate!

Jessica, Cooper and I our very own strawberry

Happy boy eating some puffs during a snack break!

They even have a water area - and it was quite a warm day so it was perfect. All the kids had so much fun running through the water that would pop up randomly from the ground. So fun to hear the laughter of your child - showing how happy they truly are!

Oh yes, so I decided to start potty training Cooper the day before we went to Gilroy Gardens. One thing I told myself before potty training this little guy was that I HAD TO BE CONSISTENT! In order to be consistent only one day after the beginning of this journey, I had to keep Cooper in big boy underwear all day. So I brought this tiny little potty around in our stroller and would hide it behind places throughout the park all day for Coop to go pee! It worked - day #2 with no accidents all through the fun of Gilroy Gardens. People probably thought I was a freak - but it was all about consistency for me to make sure this was a successful process...
Here is the little potty man, leaving Gilroy Gardens, going pee before getting in the car!

This is what Cooper looked like before I pulled out of the parking lot of Gilroy Gardens...proof of a long FUN-FILLED day!

Our little Michael Jackson

Cooper loves to dance! Loves making people laugh! And loves to do new tricks that his daddy teaches him...the newest one is his Michael Jackson move...I definitely need to get it on video because he has a sound to go with it...so silly!

And again, Cooper just loves when he is the center of attention - so why not show your huge dimples while lifting up your shirt...Can't help but love that smiley face!

Kimmy and Julian's Wedding Day

Congratulations to our friends, a beautiful couple - Kimmy and Julian! Today they got married at Santa Clara University and had a perfect ceremony and reception afterwards. Chad and Julian have been friends since Freshman year of high school and as soon as I moved to San Jose, 4 1/2 years ago, Kimmy and I hit it off, too! I love that girl! Chad and I loved being able to spend their special day with them!
