Last weekend it was that time of year again - Cheer Camp! You may think it's crazy that I put an exclamation point at the end of that - but I love coaching these girls and when I'm involved with something I want it to be the best possible that it could be - so I spend a lot of time planning everything that goes along with it...hotel, lunches, dinners, bonding activities, rooming situations...everything - my biggest fear is that something doesn't go smoothly - but it all ended up perfect. We went to POWER in Modesto again for our 2nd year. The girls LOVED it, as did I. I have an Assistant Coach this year, Brittany, who cheered at Prospect during my first year coaching. It was great having her at camp with us all! I was so impressed with how fast the girls picked things up and all the advanced stunts they learned. This is going to be an awesome year of cheer! I am actually starting my 4th year coaching - who would have ever know when I began that I would continue long enough to be beginning a 4th year...I obviously enjoy it. That means the girls I started with as Freshman are now Seniors...so exciting but so sad, too. Can't wait to see what this year of cheer brings me, them and PHS!
The SENIORS! (minus one)
bonding time...sometimes I don't know where I come up with this stuff...but everything I planned was successful!
7 stunt groups - WHAT?! Last year we had a total of 5 and this year 7...PHS Cheer is growing! Yay!
Then and Now...more bonding activities - turned out SO CUTE!
Awesome scorpian...
Last year Jessie left camp with a HUGE black eye - this year she left feeling like Super Woman - so buff!
Thanks girls for a weekend full of success! And thanks to POWER for the wonderful routines, stunts and feedback!
