Cooper and I spent Father's Day weekend in Stockton with my WHOLE family while Chad was in San Francisco at a Bachelor Party with all the BOYS! Being in Stockton with the fam was WONDERFUL! I don't even remember the last time - I'm guessing Christmas - that Matt, Mallory and I were all home at the same time. Matt was only there for a short time because he had to get back to UCLA to start his internship with Ernst and Young that Monday but it was great to at least see him. Coopie loves his "Matt Matt"!
On Saturday, my dad, Mallory, Coop, myself and Misty doggie "dada" (yes, Daddy and Doggie are both "dada"!) went to the new park out in Spanos West. I love it there and as you can see below in pictures so does Cooper. The equipment is great, they have a dog park so Misty loves it, plus they have a section where water squirts from different places in the ground. Chad had taken Cooper there before, but I had never seen how much he really loved the water part until this day. He was in absolute heaven! Screaming and laughing so loud of happiness. It truly melted my heart to watch my little guy express his joy so loudly. Auntie "Mall Mall" enjoying getting wet in the "wawa" too!
Coopie the Monkey Man!
Playing with Papa on the toddler structure!
Sliding with "Mall Mall"...that slide was "hot!"
Walking the "dada" or more like the "dada" walking Cooper!
Better friends each time they meet...so cute!
Drinking from the doggie water fountain...he was OBSESSED!
so gross, yet so cute!
Water time!
If only you could hear his screams of pure happiness!
A soaking wet Fresno State basketball player!
After the park and then a nap it was time to go swimming in Papa and Grammie's (Dadap) - which for some reason he thinks sounds like Grammie - pool. We got to swim with "Mall Mall", doggie and Papa. The water was pretty chilly but I was impressed with Cooper's water braveness. He loved playing fetch with the Misty "dada"!
Holding onto "Mall Mall" REAL tight!
This picture makes me laugh - Cooper was refusing to look at the camera. I think I took about 4 pictures and each time he would turn his head to the other side - talk about a stubborn little fella! Plus, he thought it was hillarious!
After swimming time we got ready and went to the Dance Connection Dance Recital. It had been awhile since we had seen a recital of our Alma Mater - my whole family spent hours and hours there growing up. I was a little afraid to bring Cooper - but also thought he would enjoy it since he LOVES music and dancing. I was right...Cooper LOVED it. There were about 30 numbers and for the first 20 Cooper sat on one of our laps, completely amazed by the bright colors, dancing girls and boys on stage and loud music. When number 21 came on he was ready to get up and down...but we sat in the back just in case this happened and it all worked it. Wonder if Cooper will ever be in a recital?!
Getting ready to go to the recital...handsome little Cooper!
After the show we went on stage. The finale was a country theme and Cooper was so upset that the hay caused a mess on stage. He kept saying "Oh No! Oh No!" and would try to clean up the hay.
Come on, Papa...wear this cowboy hat!
On Sunday it was Father's Day. Unfortunately, since Chad was still in San Francisco we were unable to see him until later in the afternoon but it was nice to be able to spend the morning with my own father and Cooper's Papa.
When my sister woke up she went and sat with my dad in "his" chair while reading the paper...Cooper decided he wanted to join in the fun, too cute!
My mom got my dad these gravity something chairs for the backyard. Cooper loved testing them out with Papa.
At noon we went to brunch at Bud's Seafood and Grill with my grandma. This is one of my grandpa's favorite restaurants. After brunch we went to the cemetary to visit my Grandpa Gray.

Happy Father's Day Papa!

After brunch and the cemetary, Cooper and I drove back to San Jose to see Chad and Coopie's other Papa for Father's Day. We went to Sonoma Chicken Coop for dinner - it was SO good! Then we got gelato for dessert. Obviously by the end of the day we were so full...so much yummy food in one day! It was nice to be able to see all of our special Fathers on Father's Day.
Papa, Cooper and Daddy at dinner. What handsome fella's they all are!
Cooper is so very lucky to have such a wonderful daddy. Chad is so hands on with Cooper - whether it be playing outside in the backyard with the basketball, Cooper's trucks, sweeping the cherries, swimming, soccer or playing inside, rough housing, shooting hoops, reading singing - it is just amazing to watch the love they have for one another. Cooper is not a big eater - he would much rather be running around than taking time to sit and eat - but Chad always comes up with sneaky and fun ways to get Cooper to eat a little bit of his food. Chad gives Coop his baths each night and I am constantly hearing laughter from them both throughout the whole thing. They have such a special relationship which I can only imagine will continue to grow throughout the years. Thank you, Chad, for being such a fabulous Daddy to our Coopie boy!
